What are these things?
·           It’s small and long. It’s made of plastic and metal. Women use it for making up their lips.
·           They’re round. They’re made of plastic, metal and glass. They’re used for seeing.
·           They’re small and round. They’re made of metal. They’re used for paying when you buy things.
·           It’s small and square. It’s made of plastic. It’s plastic money!

We talked about possessions, so we revised possessive adjectives.

It’s my lighter.                                     She’s our teacher.
They’re your matches.                     They’re your books.
They’re her high-heeled shoes.     She’s their mother.(the children’s mother)
They’re his wallet.
I have a dog. Its name is Layka.

We also studied the possessive case -‘s-
Look at the example.
The wallet belongs to Mike. We don’t say: the wallet of Mike. We say Mike’s wallet.
We use’s”(the possessive case) for:
·         Person ------------------------------ thing
Luke’s ball
·         Person ---------------------------Person
Fiona’s mother
·         But not thing – thing
The houses rooms. The rooms of the house.

·         When we have a plural ended in “s”, we only write the apostrophe.
This is the girls’ father. NOT the girls’s father.
·         When we use a proper noun ended in “s”, we can write “s” or not. It’s correct in both cases.
This is Lewis’ cousin or This is Lewis’s cousin.
·         When we have two or more “possessors” the apostrophe ‘, only goes after the last one.
Philip is John, Helen and Sue’s grandfather.

We revised vocabulary on relative, members of the family.

We found out (discovered) that the people in different photos weren’t famous but their relatives were.
·         Number 4 is Antonio Banderas’s first ex-wife.
·         Number 2 is Naomi Campbell’s mother.
·         Number 3 is JK Rowling’s husband.
·         Number 5 is Will Smith’s father.
And we finished that week with you telling me about your families.

Bye!
